Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

The total cost for goods ordered that is payable by the customer, V.A.T. (at 17.5%) delivery charges and any other costs is displayed in full BEFORE the customer confirms their order. This is to ensure that the customer is clear about the total chargeable amount before making the decision to place the order.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Eurocard and Switch. The payment amount will be debited from or credited to the card immediately. This does not affect the customer's right to return goods under our returns policy. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax or over the Internet.

Credit Card Security

All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free and you should click the exempt button to reduce VAT to zero.

Shipping And Handling

Celtic Art Ltd will endeavour to ship all orders within a few days of receiving them, however as all of our products are made here in our premises and are then sent to the Edinburgh Assay Office for hallmarking, this cannot always be guaranteed. All goods will be dispatched within 30 days of their order worldwide.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Guarantee

We guarantee your satisfaction. All our products are made to a very high standard and are thoroughly inspected prior to dispatch by our quality control team, therefore we are confident you will find no cause for complaint. However, if any item is found to be faulty through manufacture we will refund or replace the item if the purchaser notifies us within 7 working days of receiving the faulty item.

When you order from us we need to know your name, address, contact details and credit or debit card details. We require this information about you solely in order to process your order/enquiry. We do not use this information for marketing purposes either by ourselves or by passing your details to any other party. Should we need to contact you regarding your order, we will use the contact details you have provided.

Returns Policy

According to the Consumer Protection Regulations 2000 (distance selling) you are entitled to return any goods that are unwanted, or should you change your mind, within 7 working days of receipt. The goods must be returned to us in the condition they were received. You may be liable for the costs of the return postage but all other monies shall be returned to you within 30 days.

Transit damaged goods must be reported by email or telephone within 7 working days of delivery and must be signed for as received in a damaged condition. Celtic Art Ltd. will then arrange for uplift of the damaged goods (UK Mainland only). Customers out with the UK Mainland should return the goods along with the original packaging within 10 working days of receipt and must obtain a proof of posting certificate. The customer is entitled to either a full refund or replacement.

Refunds or replacements will only be dispatched once the original returned goods have been received by Celtic Art Ltd. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Complaints Procedure

Celtic Art Ltd. is committed to dealing with customer complaints quickly to the satisfaction of all concerned. We will endeavour to respond to any complaints received by email, fax or telephone within 3 working days. If the issue is not resolved to the satisfaction of the customer, the customer may then put the complaint in writing to Mrs J Robson (General Manager of Celtic Art Ltd.) and expect a satisfactory response within 5 working days. It is always in our interests to ensure that the customer is entirely happy with the service received and we welcome all feedback and will always do our utmost to fully resolve any issues raised.

Title Claim

These goods remain the property of Celtic Art Ltd until such time as they are paid for. The risk in the goods shall pass to the Buyer on delivery but the ownership of the goods shall remain with Celtic Art Ltd until full payment has been received from the buyer (each order being considered as a whole).

Exclusions and Indemnities

The Buyer shall not be entitled to pursue any action against Celtic Art Ltd and shall also indemnify Celtic Art Ltd against any claim by a third party against Celtic Art Ltd for any injury loss or damage to any person or property caused directly or indirectly by the use, operation, design or possession of the goods or any part of the goods by the buyer. This indemnity shall include all claims or losses of the buyer and shall continue in force notwithstanding performance or termination of the contract.

The buyer's statutory rights are not affected by this clause.

The Law of Scotland shall apply.
